In early January 2017 the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Egypt gave an official notification to China, Turkey and Ukraine on anti-dumping investigation with respect to construction fittings imported from these countries. The investigation findings may be announced by the end of February.

The European Union increased import quotas for Ukrainian grain in 2017 under the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). Thus, wheat import quota increased to 960,000 tons (compared to 950,000 in 2016), barley quota reached 270,000 tons (compared to 250,000 tons), and corn import quota was raised to 450,000 tons (compared to 400,000 tons).

In the first 10 months of 2016, Ukraine has exported USD 4.5 million worth of Christmas-tree decorations to 25 countries said Nataliya Mykolska, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, on her Facebook page. According to Mykolska, 90.6 percent of these decorations are made of glass; products made of other materials have a 9.4 percent share.
