In October Ukraine increased its steel production by 10.4 percent (compared to September 2011) which secured the country a place in top ten of world’s steel producers in the World Steel Association rating. Ukraine progressed from the tenth position in the rating to the ninth spot.

Business climate in Ukraine experienced a significant improvement this year. The sweeping majority of the investors already working in Ukraine – a solid 82 percent – plan to continue business in the country. This development secured Ukraine a spot in the top three on the CEE Business Climate Index.

The 80 MW power plant in Southern Ukraine has opened its fourth, final line and will produce the annual 100,000 megawatt-hours of electricity. The Okhotnykovo solar power plant is the world’s fourth most powerful photovoltaic park after Canadian Sarnia, Italian Montalto di Castro, and German Finsterwalde.
