Ukraine grain exports are expected to be 2nd after US

Ukraine is expected to take second place in the world for total grain exports, following the US, in the current marketing year. According to Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk, the country will likely be 3rd in trading corn, 4th in trading barley and 6th in trading wheat.

US imports the Ukrainian-made most small arms, Ethiopia the most tanks

In 2012, the United States became the largest importer of small arms produced in Ukraine, according to a July 16, 2013 report from Ukraine’s Export Control Service (ECS).

Ukrainian poultry gets green light to enter EU markets

For four years, Ukraine has been battling for the right to supply poultry to European Union markets. The situation appeared to be coming to a positive resolution on December 4, 2012: the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health under European Commission made a decision to include Ukraine in the list of countries whose poultry producers meet EU standards and have been given a seal of approval to supply their products, including wild fowl, eggs and egg, to the EU market.
