EBRD will lend US $60mn to build Odesa grain terminal

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will allocate a US $60mn credit to Brooklyn-Kiev Ltd to build a grain terminal with a total handling capacity of 4.5 million tonnes of grain per year at Odesa Port.

Iraq is the main buyer for Ukrainian poultry meat

Over the first 7 months of 2014, Ukraine has exported nearly 85,700 tonnes of poultry meat worth a total of US $130.2mn, the State Fiscal Service reports. The biggest share of chicken meat was been supplied to Iraqi markets, yielding up to US $36.7mn in profit and constituting nearly 28% of the total value of Ukraine’s poultry meat exports.

DNR terrorists hamper the transit of grain for export

Ukrainian farmers are experiencing difficulties with shipping of grain from the territory controlled by Russian-sponsored militants, who are demanding money for any transit. Harvesting in Ukraine’s eastern regions is being hampered by the ongoing conflict.
