For Grain Traders the Process of Value Added Tax Return Will Become Expedited

The Cabinet of Ministers will expedite the return of VAT for grain traders with the reference to a contract copy about grain purchase directly from agricultural producers at a minimum price and more. This decision was presented by Yulia Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine during a briefing with journalists.

As a correspondent of LIGABusinessInform reports, the Prime Minister mentioned that such grain traders will receive their VAT back within one-two days. “If a grain trader purchased grain using shadow schemes and schemes that practically resulted in dumping grain prices, they won’t get their VAT back because our task is to fix strictly – if grain traders want to earn big money by exporting grain, at first they have to pay village residents a real grain value stabilized nowadays at the markets and stock exchange”, - as Yulia Tymoshenko stated. 

She expressed hope that such decision made by the Government will essentially change the situation on the grain market. “And tax administration starting from today, while this resolution dated today has already expired, will control every contract, every VAT, every export case, and will act in such a way that our agricultural producers won’t get prices on a permanent principle”, - the Head of the Government emphasized.
