Service Industry Enterprises See 13.4% Sales Growth In January-November 2007

In January-November 2007, the volume of services sold to consumers by service industry enterprises amounted to UAH 123.3 billion, which is 13.4% up on the year before. This has been reported by the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
According to the information of the committee, in January-November 2007, provision of services reached UAH 2,650.1 per capita on average in the country. At the same time, consumption of services by residents of different regions of Ukraine was not uniform and fluctuated from UAH 15,228.4 per capita in Kyiv to UAH 734.6 in Ternopil region.
Within the structure of the volume of realized services, according to the kinds of economic activities, no significant changes are indicated, compared to the relevant period of 2006. The share of services of different kinds of transportation, post and communications was around 54.7% of the total volume of services. Transactions with real estate, renting, engineering and provision of services to businessmen amounted to more than one-fourth of the services volumes (27.2%).
In November 2007, the volume of the realized services rose 23.9%, compared to November 2006, to around UAH 13.1 billion. The share of services realized to the population shrank by 2.1 percentage points to 28.3% of their total volume.
It should be reminded that in January-October 2007, the volume of services sold to consumers by service industry enterprises made up UAH 110.3 billion, which is 12.2% up compared to the level of the relevant period of 2006.
