Ukrainian grain export grows by 20%

Within the period from July through October 2015 Ukraine exported five million tons of wheat which exceeds YOY by 22%. This was reported by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Therefore, in July-October 2015 three million tons of wheat were exported to the East and Southeast Asia, which is 2.7 times more against YOY.
Ukraine exported 2.1 million tons of wheat to Africa, which is 22% less compared with July-October 2014. Besides, 1.1 million tons of wheat (+ 22%) were exported to the EU countries while 0.7 million tons (-10%) - to the countries of the Middle East.
The report highlights that a significant export increase to Asia was due to exports to Thailand (1.1 million tons, 3.5 times increase), the Southern Korea (0.7 million tons, + 58%), Indonesia (0.6 million tons, four times increase).
The stocks of wheat at elevators, as of December 1, 2015, were 30% higher against YOY, reads the statement.
