UAH 27.9 billion capital investment raised for Ukrainian agricultural sector in 2015

According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko, capital investments in Ukrainian farming sector in 2015 reached 27.1%, the institution’s press-service informed on Friday.

“The volume of capital investment into farming sector, forestry and fish industry reached UAH 27.9 billion during 2015, which exceeds YOY by 27.1%. That is against the background of 1.7% general decrease of capital investment in Ukraine, which includes -20% capital investment in industry,” noted the Minister.

Oleksiy Pavlenko mentioned that immediate capital investment into farming sector increased by 26.1%, 1.7 times in forestry and 2.5 times in fish industry.

“At that, the proportion of investment in farming sector in bulk capital investment in Ukraine’s economy increased from 8.4% to 11.1%, which provided an opportunity to slow down the investing recession,” added the Head of the Institution.
