Ukraine Ramps Up Sugar Export
November 22, 2016
A record of sugar export during this season’s two months reached 101,000 tons, which is 11 times more than in September-October 2015/2016, as reported by Economical Dispute Club.
“Similarly to the previous year, no sugar was imported, while its export scaled up massively,” the analysts say.
About 50 percent of the total sugar exports was shipped to Sri-Lanka, Georgia and Kazakhstan.
Overall, the estimated number of sugar produced in 2016/2017 remains 1,825,000 tons (valuation in November is the same as in the previous month). However, export rates might increase up to 130,000 tons.
