December 1, 2016
Dnipropetrovsk state regional administration reported that a Slovak investor started a pumpkin seeds growing company called Dolyna Agro SK LLC.
Dolyna Agro SK will be growing pumpkin seeds for further export to the EU. The project covers 300 hectares of planted pumpkins and is expected to expand its area up to 1000 hectares next year. The investor spent around EUR 1 million already and plans to invest another EUR 1 million in the 2017-18 season.
The involvement of the Slovak investor has become possible due to the efforts of the Investment Service Ukraine Company that works closely with the Czech and Slovak businesses and specializes in attracting and maintaining foreign investment.
To date, the EU share of the total foreign trade of agricultural products of Ukraine is 33.9 percent.
